Your library, on the shelves
Plex movies and shows become boxes in aisles by genre, with New Releases up front and a Coming Soon wall.
Friday night, 1997. Your movies are on the shelves.
A first-person, multiplayer video store stocked from your Plex library. Drive up with up to three friends, wander the aisles, flip the boxes over, argue at the counter, and head home with tonight's picks.
Plex movies and shows become boxes in aisles by genre, with New Releases up front and a Coming Soon wall.
Pick one up and read the back: synopsis, cast, runtime, rating, and a sticker if you haven't seen it.
Up to four players in the same store, in real time. Ping a box for the others, wave hello, and see what they're carrying.
Everyone brings their picks to the register. Rent what everyone, most, or anyone agreed on, and get a receipt to prove it.
Ask for picks based on what you've watched and rented. Choose one and arrows on the floor lead you to it.
Your rentals leave the store in a blue plastic bag, hooked in your fingers, swinging as you walk to the car.
Background music plays from speakers overhead, loudest under each one. Plug in a Spotify playlist, or enjoy the store mix.
Drive in, park, and walk past the neighbours. Traffic rolls by, and other customers come and go with their own rentals.
Each player's own Plex watched state: box backs say whether you've seen it, and Staff Picks skip what you have.
